1K a year JOB DESCRIPTION Maintenance Manager - Salary Position-Based on Experience Full Time Summary/Objective The preferred Candidate will be a manager with a strong background in an industrial Electrical setting including programming, installation, setup and troubleshooting of PLC, HMI's, VFD's and Robotics.
The Maintenance Manager position is responsible for the overall management of the maintenance department and staff.
The maintenance manager will ensure the safety guidelines and policies are understood and adhered to.
In addition, the maintenance manager will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the company's business goals and objectives.
This candidate must be familiar with the setup and management of a CMMS system.
Reporting Metrics and KPIs to production manager.
Reviewing and optimizing the PM system for efficiency and uptime on production equipment.
This job is a working manager spending a large part of the work shift on the floor working and training the team members.
Along with working the candidate must be willing to be on call to support the maintenance team as needed.
Essential Functions:
Oversee day to day operation of a maintenance team consisting of mechanics and electricians with different skill levels.
The manager will lead the team into a higher quality of maintenance through training and hands on management.

Install, assemble and test new machines and equipment, and inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate 2.
Work with production to schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment throughout the plant.
Supply support for breakdown and repair of equipment.

Perform various types of equipment and building repairs using skills that include thorough mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills, etc.

Inspect equipment to identify operational inefficiency and facilitate optimization 5.
Lead the diagnosis and troubleshooting of equipment issues to determine the root cause of the problem and determine the most cost-effective and efficient corrective action.

Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells, or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery.

Manage outside contractors as needed to assist in project work and facility upgrades.

Maintain accurate record of maintenance operations and present to upper management reports of daily activities.

Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of machinery.

Perform other assigned tasks as directed by management.

Proffer technical advice and recommendations to a maintenance team to ensure an efficient workforce 12.
Hire and train maintenance employees to carry out specialized duties Requirements:
Supervisory Relationships:
Directly Supervises all Maintenance Staff.
Maintain existing Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Programs while identifying ways to increase uptime and avoid downtime.
Qualifications and
Experience:

Years of experience in an industrial production facility 5
years experience in a maintenance environment specializing in electrical controls, plc and robotics.
2
years in a maintenance leadership role.
